One of the most urgent and important films of the year, No Other Land, is the directorial debut of Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, and Rachel Szor. This Palestinian-Israeli collective came together to make No Other Land as an act of resistance. These courageous activists created a timely, one-of-a-kind documentary that offers an unrelenting look at the devastating, inhumane destruction of Massafer Yatta, in the West Bank, by Israeli authorities.  

Basel Adra is a Palestinian activist who fearlessly records the destruction of his homeland and displacement of his people by Israeli soldiers. In the process, he befriends Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham. No Other Land chronicles this unlikely friendship while simultaneously capturing the horrors of the ongoing conflict in the region.
Not only does No Other Land document the harrowing atrocities happening to the Palestinian people, but it’s also a poignant portrait of their perseverance and passion for their land. It’s a gut-wrenching, powerful documentary, and while it certainly isn’t an easy watch, it’s a necessary one. No Other Land is an absolute must-see and should be deemed essential viewing.  – LA
